Murt’s Man Bait-getting you drunk this week. Deadly white & red sangria. #sorrynotsorry

This article of “Murt’s Man Bait” this week is going to be slightly different than usual. Why you ask? Oh I will tell you. It is because I am just going to get you drunk. How much do ya love me??

Yes-there will be no food involved in this weeks segment. If you get super wasted, and need to coat your stomach, just go and make my Mac and cheese from a few weeks ago or whip up some “Meaggy Pancakes.”

Anyway, today I was thinking of what to write about and then it hit me that Saturday was the first official day of Fall. Don’t get me wrong, I fucking love Fall. I’m as basic white girl as they come meaning I love pumpkin everything, I own a lot of flannel and I enjoy apple picking.

HOWEVER, in my opinion, nothing beats summer. There’s just something about those summer cocktails that make you wanna relax by the pool and not do shit all day. A favorite in my house is my deadly sangria recipes. Since you clearly can’t hang by the pool this Sunday, unless you live somewhere that isn’t Fall, then you can make this amazingness in a pitcher and drink it on your couch in a damn sweatshirt while cheering on your team. Trust me, it’ll be worth it. Also-who doesn’t fucking love Sangria??? Sangria is amazing because you can truly make it so many different ways. Everyone I know has their own sangria concoction. It also creeps up on ya very slowly which I happen to enjoy. I actually make red and white so guess what I am gonna double time it today and give both recipes out just incase you are picky about wine.

Just to be clear, I am in no way shape or form picky about wine , but i guess I’m just trying to be considerate or whatever.

Here we go…

Recipe: MURT’S DEADLY WHITE SANGRIA

Pair with: MORE SANGRIA

Ingredients:

-1 bottle of Pinot Grigio white wine (or if you’re me 1 and 1/2 bottles)

-1 cup Vodka (use the good shit-Kettle, Grey Goose, Stoli)

-1/2 cup peach schnapps

-2 cups sliced strawberries

-2 sliced oranges

-2 sliced peaches

-2 sliced Granny Smith apples

-a handful of blueberries

Directions:

1. Put all the sliced fruit in pitcher at bottom

2. Put some ice in the pitcher but don’t over do it

3. Pour the wine, vodka and peach schnapps in the pitcher

4. Stir that shit up and enjoy

Now for the red…

Recipe: MURT’S DEADLY RED SANGRIA

Pair with: MORE SANGRIA

Ingredients:

-1 bottle of either Merlot of Cabernet red wine (or if you’re me 1 and 1/2 bottles)

-3 shots of rum (or if you’re me, 4 shots)

-2 cups of club soda

-2 tablespoons of sugar

-1 lemon cut into wedges

-1 orange cut into wedges

-1 red apple cubed up

Directions:

1. Put all the sliced fruit and sugar in the pitcher at bottom

2. Put some ice in the pitcher but don’t over do it

3. Pour the club soda, wine and rum in the pitcher

4. Stir that shit up and enjoy
