Me enjoying a ManMosa. Pairs great with my pancakes. Keep reading.

So this past week I was telling the guys in the Branded Sports group chat how my pancakes are legendary. Matt immediately wanted the recipe for his son so I hope he loved them! My boyfriends son says nobody (except my mom) makes pancakes as yummy as me so he has officially dubbed them “Meaggy Pancakes” and literally every Saturday I “have to make them.”

As I said in my opening article to “Murt’s Man Bait Recipes” I believe in making everything from scratch. I cook with LOVE people which is probably why my food comes out so good.

So the recipe this week is: MEAGGY PANCAKES

Cocktail: ManMosa (yup that exists and you will thank me for it, boys)

You are probably thinking pancakes aren’t really a football food, BUT YOU ARE DEAD WRONG. You need to eat in the morning and pancakes really are an any time of day food. Sometimes when my boys are craving pancakes, I’ll make these babies for dinner. Also, they fill you up and absorb the alcohol so listen up because I’m gonna tell you how to make the fluffiest most delicious pancakes ever.

Ingredients:

1 egg

1.5 cups flour

2 T baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/3 cup sugar

2 tsps vanilla extract

3 Tablespoons butter (melted)

1 and 1/4 cup whole milk

Syrup

————

Directions:

– Mix all dry ingredients together separately (flour, baking powder, salt & sugar)

-In separate bowl mix melted butter with milk and vanilla then add egg & beat until combined

-Slowly add dry Ingredients to wet until few lumps are left mixing with a spoon or fork

-Put pancake batter mixture Into a blender and add a few squirts of pancake syrup into the batter then blend

-If batter seems TOO thick you can add a little bit more milk but you still want a thick batter

-Grease your griddle or frying pan with butter and let it heat up

-Pour the batter on to your griddle or frying pan to desired pancake size

-Once you see it bubbling, flip it!

ENJOY plain or with fruit or chocolate chips or bacon (because I disagree with a previous blog written by Jay and don’t believe bacon is overrated and what I do believe is that bacon is the answer to all of life’s problems). If someone handed me a strip of bacon everytime I was sad, I would probably pretend to be sad a lot. That all I’m saying.

Meaggy Pancakes with chocolate chips & bacon inside, with a side of bacon. BOOM!

The SECRET to these babies is adding the pancake syrup to the batter and putting the batter in a blender before making them (little tip that was passed down to me from my Mom). It not only makes the pancakes super fluffy, but it gives them a sweeter taste! You will never make pancakes any other way after you try mine.

YOU ARE WELCOME.

Ok it’s time…. what the hell is a Manmosa?? It’s basically a badass version of a mimosa which guys feel weird ordering so they order this instead. My boyfriend and I discovered a Manmosa when we lived in Hoboken, NJ for a year and became obsessed with boozy brunching before watching football on Sundays. Ingredients are below. For the beer, I like using Blue Moon but you can really use any beer you want!
