Many people are calling PJ Walker the modern day Cam Newton and after this news, who could blame them:
Carolina Panthers are signing former XFL standout PJ Walker, per @diannaESPN.

MATT RHULE AND PJ WALKER ARE REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD.
The XFL season may have been short lived due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, but it didn’t stop Walker from shining in the meantime. The unofficial XFL MVP didn’t lose a single game, accounted for 15 touchdowns and over 1300 yards. Given everything going on with the Texans debacle, the Roughnecks were becoming the show to see in Houston before the stoppage.
Poor Teddy Bridgewater. Guy has been reduced to a back-up role ever since his career threatening knee injury. Finally gets a starting gig in Carolina and then a guy slinging the rock like this shows up:
When it comes to PJ Walker, would’ve been fascinating to see how his career would’ve panned out if he didn’t change his name from PJ to Phillip his senior year at Temple. Guy is a stud but only when going by PJ. With the Colts, he was Phillip. With the Panthers, he is PJ. Sky is the limit now!
