Comeback Kid?

Myers? Amazing. Sanheim? Perfect. Provorov? Lights out. Hagg? Literally a human bowling ball.

Gostisbehere? The press box.

Its been a tough start of the year for Shayne on the point. In years past he has been absolutely lethal on the power-play and in overtime. His most notable season was the 2017/18 seasons where he recorded 65 points in 78 games. The year after he a point fall off, but we are trying to forget last season in my opinion.

This season though, Ghost has played 22 games and has only put up 6 points, only one of which is a goal. Yikes. Not the start the 26 year old wanted. AV is anything but a dumb coach, he knows what he is doing, particularly for young players. He has a no nonsense style a expects the very best from his players every night, and has no problem punishing those who do not perform.

Shayne was a healthy scratch on Saturday night Vs The Calgary Flames. The reason being that Calgary plays a tough game, and Ghost would be better suited siting in the press box studying the game. Tonight is Hockey Fights Cancer Night, and Ghost will once again be watching from the press box.

Shayne Gostisbehere is not getting traded. He is an all star offensive defensmen, with a extremely team friendly salary of about 4.5 million a year. Add to that, he is 26 years old and far from falling off the cliff.

I am not worried about Ghost, and I am positive that come January I will be writing about how he climbed back to the top of the later for the Flyers defensmen. He needs to get out of his funk and find his game.
