Phillies One Of The Teams Looking Into A Lefty Specialist

Let’s be honest, not many of us were talking about Arron Loup before today. And this is most likely classic Jon Heyman behavior of trying to drum up attention by mentioning the Phillies. Well, congrats, it worked. Career 3.05 ERA but last year was a monster year. 6-0 record in 65 appearances. That WILD 0.95 ERA to go along with a WHIP under 1. And in fact if you take a peak at his last two seasons he has a 1.43 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and a so/9 of just under 9. I mean, yes, I’d love to see that production in a Phillies uniform. Hell, give me an ERA of under 2.5 and I’d jump all over it. But once again, this is Heyman 101. Name a team or two but also say many teams. Basically what he tweeted out should have said this:

“A lot of MLB teams are interested in Aaron Loup and to be honest, I’ve got no idea where he is going to sign.”

That’s it. But hey, here’s to hoping.
