Tomorrow we have the first installment of the battle of Pennsylvania for the 21-22 season as the Flyers head to Pittsburgh to take on the Penguins. We just found out that the Penguins will now be without their Captain Sidney Crosby.
Crosby has COVID and will be out for an undetermined amount of time. Rivalry aside here, thankfully he only has mild symptoms and can make a quick recovery. Crosby is not the only Penguin that has COVID either as defenseman Brian Dumoulin also has tested positive.
Crosby has only played in one game for the Penguins this year as he started the season recovering from injury and now COVID will cause him to miss some more time.
The Penguins have had quite a few COVID outbreaks early on this season after avoiding any last year. They still have managed to get off to a decent start in the tough Metro division. Tomorrow will be an early season test as the Flyers look to continue their strong start, while the Penguins try to overcome the early season adversary.
