Source: Jon Gruden just informed his staff that he plans to resign as #Raiders coach.

There's some high level chess/checkers going on with Gruden. The league doesn't want to suspend him. The league wants the Raiders to fire him. The league likely will keep leaking more emails until the Raiders fire him.

It’s been an interesting few days for Raiders HC Jon Gruden. After a report came out in which he made suggestive comments towards a league executive (see below), there have been more and more stories/emails getting leaked that hint at Gruden being on his way out.

As PFT stated above, the NFL is looking for the Raiders to terminate his contract which would massively speed up the process of Gruden losing his job. If the league were to suspend him, they would have to conduct a full case which could takes weeks or even months.

1) Used racist tropes against an NFLPA exec
2) Called Goodell a homophobic slur
3) Wanted Eric Reid blackballed for kneeling
4) Suggested the first openly gay player shouldn't be in the league

At this point, I would be extremely surprised for Jon Gruden to coach another game for Vegas ever again.
