Thursday Night College Football: Houston at Tulane Preview and Picks

Houston at Tulane

These teams have been going in opposite directions since the first week. In Week 1, Tulane kept it close in a hard-fought loss to Oklahoma. Houston lost to Texas Tech, who has zero expectations on the year. Since those losses, Tulane has only beaten Morgan State and has losses to UAB and ECU. Houston on the other hand has wins against Navy and Tulsa. Houston’s defense has been a bit surprising even though they haven’t had much of a test. Tulane’s offense hasn’t put up more than 30 points since Morgan State, and are giving up 40 points per game.

Verdict:(Houston -5.5) Look for Houstons offense to control this game. Tulane is probably going to score their points and may get into the ’30s but the Cougars offense is going to be too much for the Green Wave to handle. Look for Clayton Tune to be connecting with Nathaniel Nell all night. I also like the over 60 points.

Houston 42 – Tulane 30
