Thursday’s Ohio at Louisiana-Lafayette Game Preview and Picks

Wednesday Night MACtion vs Funbelt showdown. The Ohio Bobcats are looking for their first win against the 1-1 Louisiana- Lafayette Ragin Cajuns. Frank Solich stepped down as head coach of the Bobcats due to health concerns, he was replaced by Tim Albins. Ohio lost in week 1 to Syracuse which was expected but followed it up to an embarrassing loss to Duquesne (FCS). ULL hung around with Texas, a game some thought they could win, and then beat Nicholls State 27-24. The game looks closer than it was due to the Cajuns letting the foot off the gas and allowing Nichols State to score 14 points in the fourth quarter.

Verdict: (ULL-20) Ohio has been disappointing to start the year. Both the offense and defense have seemed to take a step backward. ULL’s offense led by Levi Lewis will be able to put up major points, and I’m not sure if Ohio will be able to answer consistently.

ULL 42-Ohio 17
