Breaking Down UFC Vegas 36: Brunson vs Till

Derek Brunson vs Darren Till in a HUGE Middleweight main event goes down tomorrow afternoon in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex. That’s right, tomorrow afternoon the main card starts at 4 pm est. We LOVE to see that. the reasoning behind the 4 pm start time is the card was originally supposed to be fought in London, England. Unfortunately, that won’t be happening as Covid is still wildin over there.

Here is my breakdown of the fight: #5 Derek Brunson (+160) vs #7 Darren Till (-190):

Both of these guys are incredible. Brunson has never been better, winning his last 4 fights in dominant fashion. His move to Sanford MMA was the best thing he could have ever done for his career. He is using his strikes and wrestling together really well. It’s a complete game and it seems like he’s really putting it together. I see money with Brunson at that +160 number.

However, I do believe Till gets the job done here vis TKO in the 4th round. I love Darren’s odds at +135 to win by KO here. Till matches up really well against guys that make him fight. I feel like Brunson won’t press him because he has power and is tough to take down, he might stand back and look to counter-punch Till. I see Brunson coming right at him, look to wrestle him, box him. He’ll be right there the whole time. And that is why I see Till landing a huge counter left hand and sleeping Brunson in the championship rounds.

Can we just close our eyes and imagine how incredible it would be to see Till walk out to Sweet Caroline in a sold out crowd in London?

Would be nice.

In the co main we have a couple of ranked heavyweights as #13 Tom Aspinall (-180) vs #14 Sergei Spivac (+155) in a really interesting bout. I love the brit Aspinall, a ground game specialist and I love even more his +500 odds to win by submission. Book it.

Kicking off the main card at 4 pm est, my guy Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett is making his UFC debut fighting out of Liverpool. Paddy is a former Cage Warriors featherweight champion, the same promotion where Conor McGregor came up.

Paddy has very high expectations and I believe he will prove to be the real deal starting tomorrow afternoon. I love him at -155 and I even love his odds more at +300 to win by submission. I see him having a stellar start to his UFC career. I LOVE this kid. Absolutely electric personality.
