The result may not matter, but the experience certainly could. It is expected that Eagles rookie WR Devonta Smith will make his debut tonight, the first in what many Eagles fans are hoping is a lengthy, and successful, career in midnight green.
Smith was the best player, not just receiver, in college football last year, securing the Heisman Trophy a week before defeating Ohio State in the National Championship Game. Smith’s presence should open up the offense for Jalen Hurts and create space for Reagor, Watkins, Ward, Fulgham, and Goedert. I for one am very excited to see him take the field tonight to get a glimpse of the guy we were all so eager to draft in the first round. Go Birds.
