Guard Grant Riller has agreed to a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Riller played for the Hornets in his rookie season in 2020-21.

Two-way contracts are a super underrated part of any roster. The ability to 1) get young players on cheap contracts and 2) have raw talent develop in the G-League and serve as depth is a must-have for any true title contender.
I been a huge Grant Riller guy for the last 5-6 months but this guy right here mayve slid into the number 1 spot pic.twitter.com/T5l0Zo3gAo

Now to Riller himself:
24 Years Old, 6’3, 190 lbs
Played at College of Charleston in the CAA (stats below)
56th overall pick in the 2020 Draft by the Hornets
Branded Sports own AJ Torres was VERY high on Riller way before this materialized

Grant Riller is the most talented driver in this class.
He uses changes of pace, a manipulative handle, ambidextrous finishing and masterful body control to thrive as a finisher: pic.twitter.com/Ua4RYfNjaN

Riller excels at driving the lane but also functions as a competent shooter from the perimeter (36% from 3 in college). I would hope with better players and improved shot-creation that Riller could become an above league average 3-point shooter as a part of his development process.
One heck of a night for @CofCBasketball great Grant Riller. 28 points on 10-15 from the floor, 6-8 from three point land. pic.twitter.com/LBaq7GUW9t

Who knows if we’ll ever see Riller play significant minutes for the Sixers, but Morey has a knack at finding young talent. Here’s to hoping this is a slam-dunk move:
