What Makes Today Special?
Today is the 107th anniversary of Babe Ruth’s MLB debut.
Still widely regarded as one of (if not the) greatest baseball players of all-time, George Herman Ruth made his MLB debut as a pitcher with the Boston Red Sox on July 11th, 1914. After earning a W in his first start, Babe went on to amass one of the most storied careers in baseball history with a career batting average of .342 and 714 career home runs (amongst others).
