The Florida Panthers just finished up a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks in what could be the first of a bigger move to come.
The Panthers are very much in on Taylor Hall and now having moved Connolly and Stillman they have created some more cap space and flexibility to make that move. Obviously they aren’t the only team in on Hall at the moment as the Bruins and Leafs have expressed interest according to NHL Rumors Daily.
The Islanders trade with the Devils yesterday could have set the tone for what the Sabres could expect to get in return for Taylor Hall. Buffalo is asking for a first round pick and more in a trade for Hall and I don’t think any of the teams interested in him will have any issues in making that trade.
With this recent trade though it seems like the Panthers are at least setting themselves up to make a strong push to land the former MVP.
