It’s MF Hammer Time, folks. JD snagged himself an invite to Clearwooder this year and he brought the juice with him. Not the juice, but the juiceeeee.
According to Ty Daubert, JD threw three fastballs in the Phils’ 4-0 loss to the Yankees the other day. All three of them were clocked at 97 mph. That’s almost three mph faster than his fastball average last year. Dude’s got a hose. He also sat Giancarlo Stanton down. I love to see that. I can’t stand that guy.
JD has been putting in work this off-season to increase his strength and velocity. Travis Hergert, Phillies assistant minor-league pitching coordinator said he worked with JD a lot over the past few months and used training methods that JD preferred. Hergert mentioned “JD loves to long toss.” Yeah, I bet he does. Look at that lettuce and those thicc framed glasses. I bet he tosses it reaaaal long.
I really hope JD can get himself a contract. I’ve been on the JD Hammer Pain Train for years. Don’t believe me? Check out this photo of me in my DSGN Tree Hammer Time tee from August 15, 2019.
You might think to yourself, jeeze louise, that guy must curl 1,000 lbs. Actually, quite the opposite. Much like my idol, JD Hammer, all I do to maintain my physique is toss it reaaaal long. Twice a day, whether I need it or not.
