What to Expect From UFC Vegas 19: Blaydes vs Lewis

HUGE heavyweight main event tonight from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. We have 2 of the top 5 heavyweights in the world going to war as #2 Curtis Blaydes (-400) will take on #4 Derrick Lewis (+300) in what will be an interesting matchup. If you want to win some money on this one, then it doesn’t hurt to take Lewis at those odds because if he clips Blaydes, he’s going to sleep. But, I just really see Blaydes using his extremely high level wrestling to neutralize Lewis’ striking power. Blaydes is without a doubt one of the brightest prospects in the UFC. I think he gets the finish in the 4th round here, probably by TKO. In five rounds, Derrick’s cardio is always a little suspect. If he can wrestle, wrestle, wrestle, Blaydes should get the finish.

In the co main we got 2 ranked women in the Bantamweight division as #6 Ketlen Viera (-278) vs #7 Yana Kunitskaya (+215) in a great matchup. I would love to win some money on a dog tonight so im gonna say Yana gets the upset by UD here.

#10 Heavyweight and longtime veteran of the sport Aleksei Oleinik will take the stage in a tough matchup vs Chris Daukas. I think Daukas as the -177 favorite gets the win over a top 10 heavyweight, which should put him in the top 15. Look for a finish here.

Im really high on English heavyweight Tom Aspinall and i see him KO’ing legend Andrei Arlovski to open to main card.

The name to look out for on the prelims is Jared Flash Gordon. I chatted with him a couple weeks ago and Im stoked to see him take the stage against Danny Chavez. I mean i can’t not throw money on my guy Jared here.
