FCS Gambling Picks: Big Favorite Weekend

Branded Sports

That’s right baby, we’re gambling on FCS spring football. Last week we only had 1 game, McNeese State vs Tarelton State. Was a barn burner that went to OT.

The big story here is that I had the over at 51 and smashed it. 1-0 on the year so far, let’s go.

The other story is that McNeese’s quarterback is coach O’s son. The game was fun and any football is better than no football so I’m all in. And from a betting perspective I’ve got my eyes on two games this week, both, BIG lines.

We’ll start with North Dakota State (-23) hosting Youngstown State. Simply put, North Dakota is going to kick the shit out of Youngstown State tomorrow. Not much to say. North Dakota is the #1 team in FCS. They are a wagon, always have been, always will be. They’ve beaten Youngstown 8 straight.

The last time these two met North Dakota State scored six first-half touchdowns and dealt Youngstown State its worst home loss in program history 56-17. I haven’t seen the first half line yet. If I had to guess it’s most like around 14 or 14.5. Lay that too. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are up 24 at the half.

The second game I love is JMU hosting Morehead State.

JMU is favored by 42. Lololololololol. Seriously. It’s a 42 point spread and the o/u is 53. Meaning vegas thinks JMU is going to score all the points. JMU has won 17 straight home openers. They are going to look to come out swinging. And I know what you’re thinking, 42 points is so many points. But listen to me, it’s too big not to cover. If this line was like -30 I’d be nervous but -42. That’s a JMU lock. And the last time these two schools squared up JMU beat Morehead………80-7. EIGHTY POINTS.

Look at this boxscore

My god, how do you not cancel the program after getting housed like that? Also, ESPN win prob machine that game was having a tough day. It had JMU only getting a 51.7% chance of winning the game when they were up 73 with 9 minutes left.

So take both teams, North Dakota State -23 and JMU -42. Big numbers but should be blow outs
