After a week off due to a COVID shutdown the Philadelphia Flyers are back in action tonight against the New York Rangers. This will be the first meeting between these two teams so far this season and while the Flyers have had a week to enjoy their last win against the Capitals, the Rangers come in having lost 4 of their last 5 games. The Flyers will be without some of their top guys including captain Claude Giroux, Jake Voracek, and Travis Konecny. Against some other teams I would be a little concerned about the Flyers missing some of their top guns but against this Rangers team I’m not all that worried. The Rangers haven’t looked good really at all this year and they should be much better than the way they are playing but thats not the case. Their goaltending has been lackluster and their offense can’t seem to find the consistent scoring you need to win in this league. Hopefully, even without some of their big stars the Flyers will be able to pickup a key two points against a struggling Rangers team. It will be interesting to see how the layoff effects the boys in orange and black as they only had two days of practice since they last played.
