Wake Up Philadelphia! Flyers vs Devils Gameday Preview(Game 8)

Kwals

Start Time: 7:00pm on NBC Sports Philadelphia

Location: Prudential Center

Last Meeting:

The Devils and Flyers did battle on Tuesday night in what was definitely not a pretty game from the boys in Orange and Black. Luckily the Flyers were able to pull off the win to end their short two game losing streak. Nothing has seemed to come easy for the Flyers early in the season here and Tuesday was no different. I’m not gonna sit here and say the Devils are a complete trash team but on paper, the Flyers should handle them pretty easily. Especially since they didn’t have to go against their top goaltender. Anyway, they were able to pick up the win and that is the only thing that matters in the end. Shayne Gostisbehere returned to the lineup and played pretty well and didn’t show too many signs of rust. JVR continued his hot streak as he added two power play goals and continues to silence his critics. Brian Elliott looked solid and the team played decent in front of him for the bulk of the game. There are still a lot of concerns for me on the defensive side of things and it’s gonna take some time for things to get better I think. The Flyers will look to win tonight to give them some more momentum heading into this upcoming weekend with a big series against the New York Islanders.
