Since NHL is back in action, that also means the AHL is getting ready for their season to start back up. The Lehigh Valley Phantoms is the affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. With the Phantoms having 6 members on the Flyers taxi squad and along with Linus Hogberg, David Kase and Maksim Sushko being reassigned from their European Clubs, the Phantoms have signed 4 more players to join them. These players are Eamon McAdam, Zane McIntyre, Ryan Fitzgerald and Tanner MacMaster.
Eamon McAdam is a local 26 year old goalie who is a Bucks County native. He is in his 4th season of professional hockey. He was drafted in the third round (70th overall) by the New York Islanders in 2013. He has played in 55 AHL games and 112 ECHL games. He was last with the Jacksonville Iceman where he played in 8 for .915 save percentage.
Zane McIntyre is another goalie from Grand Forks, North Dakota but grew up in the Minnesota area. He is in his 6th professional season. He has been rated as one of the best goaltenders in the AHL and has played in 8 NHL games with the Boston Bruins in 2016-2017. He has played in the KHL for the 2020-2021 season with the Dinamo Riga where he played in 6 games with .796 save percentage.
Ryan Fitzgerald is a 26 year old left winger. He is a fourth round draft pick(120 overall) for the Boston Bruins in 2013. He has played in 195 games with the Providence Bruins in the last 3 years. During the 2019-2020 season, Ryan has played in 61 games where he had 13 goals and 14 assists. Ryan Fitzgerald is the son of New Jersey Devils General Manager, Tom Fitzgerald as well as cousins with forward Kevin Hayes of the Philadelphia Flyers and Brady and Matthew Tkachuk.
Tanner MacMaster is a 25 year old in his third AHL season who is from Calgary, Alberta. He has played in 124 AHL games with 17 goals and 37 assists. During his 2019-2020 season with the Toronto Marlies he appeared in 56 games with 11 goals and 19 assists.
