Today the Flyers officially announced their roster for training camp that starts tomorrow. As you can see it looks pretty much how we expected it to with no real surprises.
The one change that we already knew about was that Sam Morin was moving to left wing. The biggest thing to come out of this announcement is the fact that Nolan Patrick’s name is on the list, we knew he would be at camp and as far as we know he hasn’t been cleared yet. The good sign is that he is on the camp roster and not starting on LTIR or anything like that or so it seems at least.
There is a few position battles that will be interesting to see who steps up especially on the defense as we will have to wait and see if one of the younger guys makes a run at cracking the roster.
Flyers first round pick Tyson Foerster will also be at camp but I think that’s more of just to get him onto the ice as the CHL season has not started yet. I don’t think he has much of a chance to make the team but it will be good for him to get the experience.
We are just 11 days away from the return of Flyers hockey and I can not wait to see the boys back on the ice.
