Not sure if you’ve heard but Alabama is pretty good at the football thing this year. They are undefeated, Mac Jones looks like one of the best quarterbacks in the country and they are ranked #1 after Clemson’s loss to Notre Dame. And with that number 1 ranking they make more history.
ESPN: The Crimson Tide’s streak of seasons with at least one appearance at No. 1 started in Nick Saban’s second year as coach in Tuscaloosa. The Tide reached the top of the poll for the first time under Saban on Nov. 2, 2008.
The second-longest streak of consecutive years appearing at No. 1 in AP poll history belongs to Miami, which went seven seasons from 1986 to ’92.
I mean that is just utter dominance. And if you’re looking for even more impressive stats. This is Alabama’s 123rd time they’ve been ranked #1 in the country. Of those, 92 of them are under Saban. To put that into even more perceptive, USC has been the top ranked school in the country 91 times ever. Bananas.
Saban currently makes $9.3 million a year and I’m here to tell you that it’s not enough. Jim Harbaugh makes just over $8 a year. If he’s worth $8 million a year, Nick Saban is worth $100 million. Roll tide.
