Well this is an interesting development to say the least. Flyers defenseman Matt Niskanen is leaning towards retiring according to Pierre LeBrun.
We are a few short days away from the start of free agency and the Flyers will now have another hole to fill. Nothing is official as of yet but you have to assume it’s pretty much guaranteed at this point. It’ll be interesting to see what moves Fletcher will make now after getting this news.
