While the rest of the Philadelphia sports teams have brought the morale of the city to an all time low, the Philadelphia Flyers are trying to bring some positive news. Hockey news is just what I need to forget about that miserable Eagles game from yesterday and the Phillies missing the Playoffs.
This morning the Philadelphia Flyers announced that they have re-signed defenseman Robert Hagg to a two year deal with an average salary of 1.6 million a season.
Hagg had a solid year for the Flyers and will be a nice depth defenseman for us and he brings that physical edge that we clearly are lacking. I also don’t mind the money he’s getting either, Hagg has only been getting better over these last few seasons and I think that trend will continue. Hopefully this is the first of a few moves that Chuck will be making in the next couple of weeks.
