Ohhhh boy ladies and gents we made it to Saturday. Its very very rare does a Fight Night card have a PPV feeling to it. And we have exactly that tonight.
#2 Colby Covington (-350) vs #5 Tyron Woodley (+290)
TONIGHT, Its COVINGTON VS WOODLEY in a highly highly anticipated Welterweight bout between 2 former teammates that absolutely positively HATE each other. This is the definition of Bad Blood. Im not sure it gets more hateful than this one for a variety of reasons. I mean in the year 2020 when you have a “Trump supporter” promoting himself the way Colby does, well of course there is going to be hate in pretty much any fight he has. But its an act, and by all accounts Colby is actually a really nice guy. I wouldnt let his act and political standing effect your opinion of him. He is a GREAT fighter.
Then you have Tyron Woodley, a former champion and one of the greatest welterweights of all time. He is not a fan of Covington, im not sure any one is personally, and he has been on record saying he’s going to let his hands go and knock him out.
Im not a huge fan of Woodley being a +290 underdog, he could very well win this fight, and would’ve been the favorite to win just 2 years ago. But alot has changed since then and Tyron hasn’t looked his best in his last 2 fights where as Colby has looked phenomenal, putting the pressure on anyone he’s faced and nearly beating the welterweight champ Kamaru Usman in December.
In terms of the fight itself, Tyron Woodley is a fantastic, amazing fighter, capable of turning a fight around and winning at any moment with his extremely powerful right hand. But I don’t know if he has what it takes right now after his last 2 fights against highly skilled grapplers in Usman and Burns. I see Colby Covington putting it on and on with his relentless pressure. His pressure is second to none right now, and if he brings that, it’s going to be very hard for Woodley or anyone to deal with. I see Covington taking this via Decision.
I really wish there were a crowd for this entrance, Colby is so dam good at being hated, he is by every definition of the word a wrestling heel and people eaaaat it up. Its kinda funny to me personally.
In the co main tonight we have legend #14 Donald Cowboy Cerrone (+120) vs Niko Price (-140) in a welterweight bout. This could be a wild one and i think could be fight of the night. This could certainly be a war and i have a feeling we see Cerrone get back on the winning track here.

The next fight is a weird one. We got Khamzat Chimaev as a -425 favorite facing off against veteran Gerald Meerschaert at +355. Now im not sure i advise betting on Meerschaert here but man thats hard not to take. Khamzat Chimaev is a straight up psycho, he’s already booked to fight in a month because thats how confident they are that he’s going to win tonight. Its never been done or seen in this sport the path that they are putting this man on. So im excited to see how he looks tonight in a step up in competition.

The next big fight would be the return of another psychopath in #11 Johnny Walker (-125) who is a very high level light heavyweight prospect that i am super super stoked to see perform tonight. He’s facing no joke tho, as #12 Ryan Spann (+105) is a savage. Johnny Walker recently made the move and changed teams to SBG Ireland and coach John Kavanaugh, Conor McGregor’s team and head coach. So i think we will see a new Johnny Walker tonight and i expect to see him to get the finish.
All in all, this is a GREAT night of fights. I mean its super rare we get to see this type of card without having to pay for it. Im super stoked man. What a great night of fights tonight.
