“Beating Philadelphia isn’t as hard as Philadelphians say it is” (& some picks)

Oh brother is it funny to see people say things that really don’t age well.

HERE IS A PRIME EXAMPLE

Before the Phillies/Nationals kicked off their first matchup of the season(AUG 25th), the nationals tweeted the following photo

After this photo was tweeted from the verified Washington Nationals Twitter, the Nationals have gone 0-4 against the Fightin Phills and are being out scored 25-11.

AMUSING, TO SAY THE LEAST

Hopefully they’re at least having fun currently being in last place.

ROAD TO 1ST PLACE UPDATE

https://www.mlb.com/standings

The Phillies took an important 2 of 3 games from the Braves this weekend and have won the first two games of this series with the Nationals. They are currently 3 games out of first place. The lineup is on fire and things just seem to be clicking in all directions.

The Phillies will go for the sweep tonight against the Nationals. It should be a tuff game for the squad tonight as they matchup up against the elite of the elite, Max Scherzer. The Phillies will counter with Zac Wheeler who has been nothing short of spectacular this season posting a 2.58 ERA with a 3-0 record.

YONG KIM / STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER Zack Wheeler improved to 3-0 and lowered his ERA to 2.81 in beating his former team, the New York Mets.
