Well, last night the Boston Bruins got bounced from the Stanley Cup Playoffs and now there is a lot of big questions looming for them. While last night was the end of the season for the Bruins, it also may have been the end of a few Bruins players careers.
For one the tallest defenseman in the NHL Zdeno Chara is like 700 years old and his age has clearly gotten to him. Okay, maybe he’s not 700 but he’s still old as shit and last night could have very well been his last game in the NHL. If that is the case then good for him, he’s had a great career and won the Stanley Cup so you can’t really ask for much more.
Another guy that may have seen his last game in a Bruins uniform is defenseman Torey Krug. Now, this one is a lot more impactful of a possible loss than with Chara. Krug has been great for Boston in his career and is still only 29 years old. Not saying he is young but he’s still got a few solid years left. The problem for the Bruins will be if they can work him in with their cap situation.
It will be interesting to see what happens with the Bruins come this offseason.
