The upcoming launch for Penn National‘s Barstool Sportsbook app will begin in Pennsylvania, with more states expected by the first quarter of 2021.
That’s according to the company’s second-quarter earnings release, which saw Penn lose $79.3 million in adjusted EBITDA during the second quarter. The regional casino operator was hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic with revenue of $305.5 million, down 76.9% from last year.
The Barstool Sportsbook app is scheduled for a Pennsylvania sports betting launch in September after originally planning for August. Penn made significant progress on the app over the last few months, CEO Jay Snowden said.

So what does Barstool Sports getting their own sportsbook mean for gambling?
I don’t know but what I do know is that flair betting on Reddit is my favorite type of gambling!
For the unaware here is a rundown on the flair betting that goes on in the MMA Subreddit.
No amount of money could make me as happy as when I force an embarrassing flair on a user for the next few weeks.
My most recent flair bet was with this unlucky chump who picked Pedro Munhoz over Frankie Edgar for last weekend’s fight card.
This is pretty much the norm for most of my flair bets. I find someone who has a pretty tame flair laid out and I come in with something over the top to ensure the risk is very low and the reward is very high. (In regular betting terms it’s like betting on the Sixers to never make it past the first round in the playoffs before the season even starts).
Some other classic ones I’ve bet are “I was on To Catch A Predator AMA” or “r/pee mod”.
So if you’re a betting degenerate who needs to lay off betting real money but still wants to feel the rush of betting hop into one of these threads on fight week and lay down a bet.
