Fuuuuuuccccccckkkkkkkkk, okay we knew this was possibly coming but it’s now official. Sixers star Ben Simmons is officially out for the remainder of the season and the playoffs. He had surgery today on his knee that he injured in Wednesday’s game against the Wizards and will rehab in Philly.
After this tweet you could hear the hearts of Sixers fans worldwide shatter into a million pieces. The NBA restart has been nothing short of a disaster for the Sixers between the poor play and now the end of Simmons season it can’t get much worse. Well, actually it can and it might depending on how long Embiid’s ankle injury lingers. Either way the Sixers chances at an NBA title are not looking good right now and it sucks.
