TMZ: “Richard Sherman says Cam Newton‘s new Patriots contract is both “ridiculous” and “disgusting” … and he’s now going after the NFL for allowing it to happen.
“How many former League MVPs have had to sign for the min?” Sherman wrote Sunday night. “(Asking for a friend.) just ridiculous.”
The SF 49ers superstar added, “A transcendent talent and less talented QBs are getting 15/16m a year. Disgusting.”
What are we even talking about here? Richard Sherman is upset that Cam Newton got a job that he wanted? Is that what I am reading? Does Sherman not understand how contracts work? Quick break down, team offers player a deal. X amount of money for X amount of time. The player then has three options. Sign said deal, reject deal or counter offer. Cam decided to sign the deal. Not a gun point. He wasn’t hammered. No he signed it because he wanted to.
And let’s check in on Cam’s Instagram and see how he feels about the deal.
After a little translation, it appears he is happy. So what we have here is one player upset the Patriots are going to the Super Bowl again and he’s grasping at straws. It would be the equivalent of you and your friend going out to eat dinner together. Your friend orders a steak that comes with two sides and he tells the waiter, ‘you know what, I don’t need the second side, just give me mashed potatoes.’ And then you screaming at the waiter ‘YOU’RE DISGUSTING!! ALL THESE OTHER TRANSCENDENT CUSTOMERS GOT MASHED POTATOES AND BROCCOLI. MY FRIEND DESERVES BROCCOLI!!!’
Cam doesn’t want broccoli, he just wants an opportunity to eat at a nice restaurant again. Now stop being so insufferable Richard.
