Are The Eagles A Realistic Landing Spot For Jamal Adams?

AJ Torres

Imagining Jamal Adams in midnight green is truthfully a pipe dream, but before we jump down my throat and say “NO WAY” let me give the facts first. Many factors in my opinion come to play that potentially make the Eagles a legit contender to snag Adams from the Jets.

First thing is first, besides K’Von Wallace the eagles don’t possess a safety who isn’t on a 1 year deal. This leaves room for the Eagles to make a play at Adams who you can provide a contract to Adams. He instantly makes you a Super Bowl contender this year and beyond. I know the situation with the cap next year is brutal, but we have the cap wizard in Howie Roseman and I am never worried about getting out of a bad cap hole.

Secondly, the Jets have major holes at the wide receiver and cornerback position. Well guess who has an abundance at each position. Ding ding ding, that would be the Eagles. Joe Douglas could want some of his players he inherited in Philadelphia back including, Alshon Jeffery, JJ Arcega Whiteside, and Rasul Douglas. The fact they haven’t agreed to a contract speaks volumes of where the relationship has come to. Any combination of these players plus draft picks I would offer. Adams is a generational talent, and with our defensive scheme he’d wreck havoc on offenses in the NFC EAST.

Last but not least, his youth. Roseman has said he wants to get younger as a team. Adams is 24 years old and only is getting better. He would immediately replace the Jenkins role.

I’m not saying it’s likely, but I will never count us out of any deal for any player with Roseman as the GM. Invisioning Jamal Adams in an Eagles uniform is a thing of beauty and I would have tears of joy if it actually happened. Here’s a video of what he could bring to Philadelphia
