That is the amount of money Giants cornerback and former first round pick Deandre Baker was set to make this upcoming season in New York. Just THIS season. Overall, Baker has 10 milli coming his way in the next few years.
So you would think he could buy a shit ton of jewelry with that amount of money and say, I don’t know, not hold people at gun point with semi-automatic rifles and rob them? I mean buddy, you’re not making Jeff Bezos cheese, but you got some dough rollin in. So, literally the ONLY thing you didn’t have to do to for money, is this:
The @MiramarPD said an arrest warrant has been issued for Giants’ CB Deandre Baker and Seahawks’ CB Quinton Dunbar for four counts of Armed Robbery with a Firearm and four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. Incident occurred May 13.

“Baker, according to the warrant, pulled out a semi-automatic firearm while at a party and robbed multiple attendees. Baker and Dunbar took more than $12,000 in cash and several watches, including an $18,000 Rolex and a $25,000 Hublot watch.”
I can just picture somewhere The Rock and Rob Corddry losing their shit because two of their prized clients, both originally from Miami, have landed themselves in this position.
Jeez buddy, look I know playing for the Giants is bad but there is now way prison could be better. Well, maybe that’s debatable right now. But what are you doing pulling up on people for 12 grand when you’re a millionaire. That’s like me going to jail with an armed robbery charge for $3 and a paper clip. And hey, I don’t think you guys were social distancing!
So, yeah Deandre Baker kind of screwed the pooch on this one and has left the Giants in a bad spot. But he still didn’t steal as much money as Nnamdi Asomugha did during his time with the Eagles.
