Corona virus has canceled many summer time activities thus far, but now you can enjoy a nice beach day.. Ocean City and Sea Isle NJ will be open for full access as soon as Saturday.
Full access to all beach activities will open on Saturday May 16th.— Mayor Jay McGillian OCNJ (@JayOcnj) May 14, 2020
That’s right beach goers of South Jersey, you can now enjoy a nice day at the beach with a beer in hand, toes in the sand, and catch some sun. The only restriction is you must still obey the 6 ft guideline rule which is a-okay with me. Swimming in the ocean is now also is allowed.
The Mayor of Sea Isle Leonard Desiderio said on Tuesday that over 260 beach tags have already been purchased. He believes the sales reflect on the beachgoers confidence of a normal summer. The Mayor also says this is just the first step of the shore towns reopening.
Memorial Day weekend just got alittle sweeter for seasonal vacationers. The bars and restaurants may not be quite open yet, but atleast you can go on the beach and get drunk go home, take a nice outdoor shower with more beer, bbq, and begin an all night drinking event at your shore house. Things are hopefully looking up for all of our lovely shore points going foward.
