When I watch this MJ doc, I’m ashamed of myself for quitting at WIP. I shoulda gone harder when it was stacked against me. I shouldn’t have let management decisions run me down. What a total chump move by me. I was a chump. Never again.

Oh Josh Innes, I assume quarantine has gotten so boring that now you need/want to ruffle up the Philly fanbase’s feathers. In his defense, all he is doing is sending a simple self aware (kinda) tweet. So whatever, I’ll give him that. Unfortunately he is basically lying and still living in his delusional state of mind. The same one that he had when he was in Philly trying to act like the smartest guy in the room.
Just incase you don’t remember why Josh was fired, well, it was never made completely public the exact reason but we have a good guess. Below is the transcript from when Josh Innes called Jason Kelce a ‘house negro’ on the radio. Yup. That’s right. He called another person a house negro, aka a super racist term.
“Innes: “Here’s the thing though, right, it’s like this. Let me find a good comparison here. I was watching Malcolm X yesterday, I was in the airport in Memphis watching Malcolm X, and there was a scene where Denzel’s doing the whole thing about the slave and the house negro? Right? And like, the house negro is the guy who’s gonna tell you like, oh he gets to live in the big house with the boss and every time he refers to something that happens in the house it’s ‘our house’ and ‘we’ and everything like that. And then there’s the actual slave that isn’t the house negro that’s just trying to run away. Essentially what you’re getting here is Jason Kelce is the house negro is what I’m trying to convey to you.”
Thomas: *laughter*
Innes: “That’s essentially Jason Kelce’s job: ‘Yessir. Yes boss. Absolutely boss. Yes, sir boss.’ That is Jason Kelce, he is, whoever the head coach is gonna be, he’s gonna be all over that head coach. There’s no arguing, there’s no fussing, there’s no fighting, he’s in with that guy.”
House Negro is loosely defined as: “House Negro” (also “House N*gger”) is a pejorative term for a black person, used to compare someone to a house slave of a slave owner from the historic period of legal slavery in the United States.”
He was suspended after this and shorty after that was out from WIP. All honesty, he’s just an excuse guy. Classic ‘the teacher was picking on me’ kid mentality. He mentioned in some tweets that he’ll be back. Can’t imagine a station in the city will take a run at him. He burns bridges everywhere he goes. He comes off like a prick and when you call people ‘house negros’ you’re not going to get a ton of jobs. So thanks but no thanks Josh. We’re good man.
PS if you think ‘well maybe he wasn’t fired and actually quit.’ Here.
Yes. It was my fault bc I lost inteelrest after my boss was let go. I was offered a deal to stay but didn’t want it. https://t.co/PwjvQsMhfE
