I am a little behind on the BFFL action this week with all the NFL Draft stuff going on. But even thought the two leagues coincided this week, the Backyard league had one for the record books.
This is my first year in the league, but just two weeks in we’ve already had multiple players threaten the league record for points scored in a week. One player this week didn’t just threaten the points record, they just shattered it.
The best thing about this week? We’ve got some video content of game action. And the first game hitting the air could not have been more insane. The Texans and Chargers took part in one of the craziest shootouts you will ever watch. The points record and the passing yard record both get set in this game:
- VICKI KAWAGAUCHI IS JUST A TINY GIRL VERSION OF CALVIN JOHNSON. 77 BURGER. 6 TOUCHDOWNS. SHE WAS UNSTOPPABLE.
- Thank goodness for her performance. It was much needed in a week where my opponent was putting up big numbers, especially with Jorge Garcia playing against Kawaguchi and scoring 39.
- The 49ers also played a huge role in my success this week. Pablo Sanchez is obviously the alpha on this team (and he had another great week. But, you will notice that I also have Brett Favre as a back-up quarterback who was very productive for me. And I didn’t even need to spend a 2nd round pick on him to get him. Funny how that works.
