NFL Free Agency has been a whirlwind so far. In a two day stretch where the Texans trading Deandre Hopkins for 3 pennies and a ball of lint wasn’t the craziest move, something really drastic would have to happen to keep up the momentum. How about we try this one on for size:
Joe Thomas says on @nflnetwork that he thinks the Dallas #Cowboys will end up signing Jadeveon Clowney. What an addition that would be. #NFL #NFLFreeAgency

Clowney to the Cowboys would be eye popping for a variety of reasons. Firstly, where are the Cowboys getting the money to sign star players like this?! With an extension for Dak looming, kudos to them if they can even pull it off.
Let’s just cut to the chase on this one. Clowney is a tremendous talent and one of the few big names left who will receive a huge pay day. Any big name like that going to the Cowboys will garner a ton of attention. But after the NFC Wild Card game this year and Clowney’s previous action against the Eagles, this would elevate the Philly vs Dallas rivalry to an unforeseen level. Both of these teams look to be competing for a playoff spot for the next decade or as long as Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott are leading the charge. The level of competitiveness between these two teams, fueled by Philadelphia’s downright vile hatred of that player will make for some hostile yet intriguing matchups with the division on the line.
For Eagles fans, we have a deep seeded hate for the Dallas Cowboys that stems from the need to beat the brakes off of them in order to succeed. Jadaveon Clowney would fit right in with the Dallas persona and brand that we’ve grown to hate.
Do you think Josina Anderson will just flat out wear a Cowboys jersey on the sideline next season?
