Breaking: Mookie Betts is getting a one-year, $27 million contract from the Red Sox, a source told @JeffPassan.
That's the largest contract ever agreed to by a player in an arbitration-eligible season. pic.twitter.com/g3SleSid1J

Huge news if you’re a Sox fan. I never understood why anyone wanted to trade Mookie in a league with no salary cap but I am glad he is staying for another year. I expect big things from all Boston teams so signing a home grown guy who won MVP a couple of years ago is a win in my book and the always cheery Felger and Maz show will NOT bring me down. I honestly am not a huge baseball guy but whenever I go to games I look forward to seeing a few guys play and Mook is one of them.
I would argue this is a good move too.
Outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. and the Boston Red Sox are in agreement on a one-year, $11 million deal, a source familiar with the agreement tells ESPN.
