Packed Full Saturday college slate this weekend I’ll take you through a few to look at before you place your bets on Saturday.
UTAH @ WASHINGTON
Over/Under: 47
MONEYLINE: Utah -165 (favorite)
UW+135
POINTS: Utah -3.5
WEATHER: 55 Degrees 6 MPH winds with gusts up to 9 MPH
SUMMARY: The 9th ranked Utah Utes come into this matchup at 7-1 against the Washington Huskies that stand at 5-3 on the season
University of Washington Huskies coach Chris Petersen has a 18-0 record coming off a bye week dating back to his time at Boise State. The Washington Huskies 3 losses have come at the hands of #12 Oregon, Stanford and Cal. Utah on the other hand has been strong all season long handling opponents easily however, their one loss has come at USC.
Don’t be surprised if we see an upset here in Washington after a week of rest and the huskies ready to go after the 9th ranked team in the nation.
Matt’s Pick: Washington 26 Utah 23
MICHIGAN @ MARYLAND
Over/Under:56
MONEYLINE: Michigan -1600
Maryland +1000
POINTS: Michigan -21.5
WEATHER: 55 Degrees wind 3 MPH upwards of 5 MPH gusts (no factor)
Summary: Michigan has had a rough go of things this season. Jim Harbaugh has been given the label of not being able to win in big games and a loss to Penn State did not help that. However this week coming into University Park in Maryland they face a rather easy test. Maryland is 3-5 on the year and while the Maryland Terrapins offense has flashed at times this season I do not see any way they pull out a win against the Michigan Wolverines.
Maryland has had more success converting overs in their matchups on the season and in 2019 they have hit the over at 62.5% while the Michigan wolverines have had even bigger success converting overs hitting at 75.0% of overs in their games played
The big question in this game however is the huge 21.5 point spread. Big Ten matchup with Michigan playing on the road I think Maryland covers and loses by 17
Matt’s Pick: Michigan 38 Maryland 24
FLORIDA VS GEORGIA (Neutral Site)
The worlds largest outdoor cocktail party
Over/Under 45
MONEYLINE: Georgia -225
Florida +180
POINTS: Georgia -6
WEATHER:68 Degrees 20% chance of rain winds 9MPH with 11MPH gusts at times
Summary: A tradition in the SEC the worlds largest outdoor cocktail party is always played in Jacksonville so no real home field advantage here for either team. Georgia comes in as the #8 team in the country while Florida comes in ranked #6. Up and down seasons for both of these teams this year. Georgia has shown flashes however has seemingly slowed down a ton in the last few weeks. Florida is in the same both with both teams having one loss on the year
Florida is 62.5% ATS (against the spread) while Georgia is converting at 42.9% this season.
While games like these have almost no real way to predict the outcome I think Georgia makes a bit of a comeback in the end and covers very slightly to knock off #6 Florida.
Matt’s Prediction: Georgia 24 Florida 17
