If you’ve seen that equally grumpy looking young guy on the Patriots sidelines that resembles Bill Belichick, you might not be surprised to learn of Steve Belichick, Patriots secondary coach.

Yes, that secondary. The secondary of the #1 defense in the NFL. They have 19 interceptions, at least 1 in every single game this year. They’ve allowed 2 touchdowns in 8 games. This is the best defense in Bill Belichick’s career and potentially all time. So is it just a coincidence that the Patriots have no defensive coordinator and Steve Belichick has joined the family business? Perhaps. But it’s time to consider the fact that Bill Belichick could have plausibly cloned himself to build the best defense of all time and hand over the keys to himself in younger form when he’s ready to hang em up.
I mean, listen to this interview with Steve Belichick. Dozing off on the couch after a SNF game watching post game you’d think this was Bill.
STEVE BELICHICK@STEVEBURTONWBZ goes 1-on-1 with #Patriots secondary coach and asks what it's like working and coaching with his dad. And yes he sounds exactly like Bill when he talks!! #belichick #WBZ @Patriots pic.twitter.com/G820BJnt5V

Q: What’s it like having a dad that’s the greatest coach in NFL history?
Steve Belichick: Uh, that’s your opinion.
Just flows off the tongue perfectly. You can’t teach that type of indifference and devotion to football. The computer software literally just took Bill’s voice and put it on 1.5x speed when they built Steve Belichick in the factory.

At this point everyone has at least seen the Tom Brady scene in Paul Rudd’s Netflix show Living With Yourself, which is actually not half bad, but all I’m saying is that this is not out of the realm of possibility. Once Jonathan Kraft takes over the team, Ben Brady will be old enough to play, and you can’t do any of that without a Belichick. The rest of the NFL, all those babies dressed up for Halloween as Jets fans and Steelers fan have no idea what they’re in for.
