So the Dallas Cowboys have started the season off 2-0, with two division wins. Some may say… Leave it alone. Don’t change a thing, let it ride.

And, those people are losers.
The Dolphins are probably not going to win a game this year. In fact I would argue Clemson might beat them. So they have openly given one of their rising stars, Minkah Fitzpatrick the opportunity to seek a trade.
If you don’t know… Minkah is a 6’1 corner/saftey that was drafted 11th overall in the 2018 draft out of Alabama. Last season Fitzpatrick played in all 16 games, starting 11 as a rookie. He had 80 total tackles, 9 passes defensed, 2 interceptions and a touchdown.
The kid is a baller. And I want him on the Dallas Cowboys.
He could immediately start at saftey next to Xavier Woods and let Jeff Heath really focus on special teams and situational downs. Him and woods together would be one of the best young Saftey tandems in the league.
And… Beyond this season he gives the Cowboys security in the backend. He would be under the Cowboys control for the next 4 years and would be very cheap.
After this season, pro bowl corner Byron Jones will be a free agent and most certainly be gone, as well as starting corner Anthony Brown. So next season Minkah could slide into the starting corner spot opposite of Chido, with Lewis in the slot.
This all just makes too much sense, which is probably why the Cowboys won’t do it.
Apparently the Dolphins want a 1st rounder “and some” for Minkah and I’m cool with that.
It looks like the Cowboys have already moved on from their former first rounder Taco Charlton and are openly shopping him. He could easily be one of those guys that just needs a change of scenery for his career.
I am willing to package next year’s 1 and Taco for Minkah. Imagine two seasons in a row your first round picks are Amari Cooper and Minkah Fitzpatrick? Thanks Bama!
But… Who else is offering a 1 to the Dolphins? Would they be willing to take the Cowboys 1 that looks like it will be a late first rounder? However the Cowboys and Dolphins already made one deal this offseason for Robert Quinn and there have been talks that they have already had discussions about Minkah.
Jerry… Make it happen.
Things are falling into place already this season and us lifelong Cowboys fans who have been struggling for almost 30 years could really use a Super Bowl.
Go out and get this missing piece to help this already loaded roster get even better.
