Rose Julia McKenna (Rosie) is a happy, vibrant and fun loving 11 month old. Rosie is the youngest of 3 little girls.
Last week her family’s worst nightmare became a reality. Rosie was diagnosed with an Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (AT/RT). An atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor is a very rare, aggressive brain tumor.
Last week, Rosie underwent a successful 8+ hour brain surgery to remove the tumor. Rosie will start an intense in-patient chemotherapy for over 4 months, followed by radiation and a year of mostly out patient chemo. Rosie’s journey begins the day after her 1st birthday.
Many of you have asked what you can do to help.
First and foremost, we ask for your continued prayers. Where there is hope, there is faith. Where there is faith, miracles happen. Family and Friends have been praying the My Novena Rose prayer to St. Therese and ask you join us (prayer below).
The friends of the McKenna/DeFruscio family set up this fund to help the family financially. We want them to be able to take care of Rosie without all the worries of work, bills, hospital stays, and much more.
