This year Notre Dame sent eight players to the NFL combine. 4 defensive players and 4 offensive players. They all performed well in their drills and measurables however one of them almost stole the entire NFL Combine Show.
Myles Boykin proved that he belongs, he made the right decision by declaring for the draft and that the ND does produce top quality talent at the skill positions.
We will get to him in a bit.
First let’s cover the 4 defensive players:
Te’Von Coney:
Coney is a 6’7 linebacker who played almost every single snap in the middle of the Irish defense this season. Coney looked smooth in the drills but he did not take part in the testing. Coney will test during the ND Pro Day.

Drue Tranquill:
Drue is one of Irish Nation’s favorite players. The two time captain fought through so many injuries this season but never stopped leading the team on and off the field.
Drue stands 6’2 weighing 234 pounds. He absolutely crushed the bench with 31 reps, best out of all 28 linebackers and in the top of the whole combine. He was 7th in 40 running a 4.58, 9th in the broad jump at 122 inches and third in his 60 yard shuttle running it in 11.64 seconds.
One team is going to get lucky with this great young man.

Jerry Tillery:
Tillery was named a “winner” of the combine by Next Gen Stats. Jerry was a leader on and off the field for the Irish, and is said to be one of the smartest players on the team.
He stands 6’6 and weighs 295 pounds. He was the second tallest DL in the combine, out of 33. He threw up 23 reps a on the bunch, he ran a 4.93 40 good for 9th among DL’s. He had a 32 in vert jump, 115 broad jump and ran a 7.45 second cone drill.

Julian Love:
Love was the Irish’s lock down corner. He is physical and was able to lock down almost any WR he matched up against. Love will be a starter and could be a star at the next level.
He stands 5’10 weighing 195 pounds. He pressed 225 14 times, 13th out of 36 CBS. He ran a 4.54 40 yard dash.

Alex Bars:
Bars is a former ND captain and offensive lineman’s. He suffered an ACL & MCL injury that ended this season, so he did not participate in any of the testing of drills. But was available for interviews.
Bars is 6’5 and weighs 312 pounds. Has 9 3/4 in hands with 32 3/4 in arms and a wingspan of 79 1/8 inches.
Alize Mack:
Mack has some of the best talent you will ever see out of a tight end. His problem has been off the field issues and always giving it his all. If he can control those he will shine at the next level.
He is 6’4 weighing 249 pounds. Mack had 22 reps on the bench, 2nd out of 18 tight ends. He ran a 4.70 40, 36 in verticals jump, a 120 in broad jump and ran a 4.34 second cone drill.

Dexter Williams
“Juice” as he is known as is blazing fast on the field. His first touch of the season was a 40 yard touchdown run. Williams was suspended the first 4 games of the season however has been a model citizen ever since and was the Irish’s best ball carrier.
Dexter stands 5’11 weighing 212 pounds. He repped 17 times on the bench and ran a 4.57 40. He was first out of 23 running backs with a 130 broad jump, 6th with a 36 in vertical. He was also 3rd with a 7 second cone drill and 2nd with a 4.16 20 yard shuttle.

Miles Boykin:
Boykin stole the show for the Irish. ND fans know his name and his capabilities but now they were on display for the whole country to see. Boykin was the go to WR1 for the Irish and now he’s ready to do it on Sunday.
Miles is 6’3 weighing 220 pounds. He had 12 reps on the bench which was his least impressive stat from the testing.
He ran a blazing 4.42 40, good for 8th out of 37 wideouts. He was first in the vertical jump with 43.5 inches, second in the broad jump with 140 inches. He was then first in the 3 cone drill, running it in 6.77 seconds and third in the 29 yard shuttle at 4.07 seconds.
The Irish team went nuts when they saw this:
