NBA trade tracker-76ers going ALL IN

So the process is no more… the Sixers have officially gone ALL IN on championship hopes for this season!

First year GM Elton Brand does not mess around! He started the year by shipping away RoCo and fan favorite Dario Saric for a two way star in Jimmy Butler. Which was a move that most viewed as a shift in power in the Eastern Conference. The Sixers were trying to expedite this prolonged process that genius Sam Hinkie first started.

After beating the Lakers and the Golden State Warriors… aka the Monstars last week the Sixers had officially smelled blood and weren’t done making moves yet.

After losing to the Raptors Tuesday night they didn’t wait long and early Wednesday morning they went and got a stretch 4 that they so desperately needed in the form of Tobias Harris in a blockbuster move bringing in Harris, Boban Marjanovic and Mike Scott in exchange for Landry Shamet, Mike Muscala(who has since been traded again), Wilson Chandler along with 2 future first round picks and 2 future second rounders.

The Raptors and Bucks needed to make moves or they very well may have watched the Sixers come gunning for that number 1 seed.

The Raptors started off by taking cash from the 76ers in exchange for Malachi Richardson (hopefully they let the kid know before he left Philly and got back on the plane to Toronto) the rights to a European player and a future 2nd round pick. They also went out and made a huge move right before the deadline, acquiring Marc Gasol from Memphis in exchange for 3 players and a second rounder.

The Bucks sent unhappy big man Thon Maker to the Detroit Pistons and also brought in Nikola Mirotic from New Orleans.

Elton Brand wasn’t done yet… right before the 3pm trade dead line. He sent former #1 overall pick Markelle Fultz to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Jonathon Simmons, a protected 1st rounder and a future 2nd round pick.

So much for a boring trade deadline! There’s a new Big 4 in Philly!
