It was easier to hide events like this when we didn’t have the instant coverage world of the internet. It not being the degenerate fans of Philadelphia, I’m sure espn and others didn’t run much about it. The Browns, who were in their third year back after Modell stole their team to Baltimore, were in a playoff hunt. That’s when this bullshit happened on the field. People were livid. I have to guess that this must be the game that is the reason why sports franchises only serve drafts in plastic cups and bottles.
Be honest with yourself, this shit happened in Philly they’d have forfeited all 4 franchises.
