When can we have a discussion about how weird Hollywood is? What a creepy and odd place. For a moment here, let’s put to the side the headline about Woody Allen. Hollywood is just a weird, unnatural place. Not enough people bring up how weird and creepy it is. Between rape for movie roles and the guy who ran Nickelodeon molesting kids in such awful ways that people in Hollywood kept it secret because they were afraid, it may be time for a cleanse of Hollywood.
Now, as for Woody Allen…
Is there a creepier, more loved human than Woody Allen? People seem to love his movies, love his acting, and just ignore all of the weird stuff he does. He’s been accused of assaulting his 7-year-old adopted daughter. He said this, “I’m open-minded about sex. I’m not above reproach; if anything, I’m below reproach. I mean, if I was caught in a love nest with 15 12-year-old girls tomorrow, people would think, yeah, I always knew that about him.” Allen pauses. “Nothing I could come up with would surprise anyone,” he ventures helplessly. “I admit to it all.” Which leads me to believe this is something that happened. He was pen-pals with a 13-year-old girl. He had a relationship with his girlfriend’s adopted daughter and married her. *Full disclosure* I don’t know exactly what the story was with that or if they got married but I don’t fact check. He is just a creepy dude and people just sweep it under the rug, as well as everything else that happens in Hollywood. The weirdest place on earth.
