It’s Officially Rozier Trade Rumor Season And This May Be The Best Yet

Terry Rozier trade rumors have been a running trend in Scary Terry’s time in Boston. It’s never made much sense or had very much validity, but like clockwork, every year the trade rumors roll in.

This season’s edition sounds like the biggest rendition yet.

Seven teams are chomping at the bit for Rozier. The most aggressive of the bunch being Phoenix. The longing obsession the Suns have had with making a deal with the Celtics is a bit odd. It’s also a bit flattering. Nonetheless, it’s quietly been an underlying subplot for some time. Rozier would likely fit in with the young core in Phoenix so it makes sense that this would be the trade that they could most feasibly make. Rozier has also been the focus of their trade discussions with Boston for the majority of the time.

I really don’t foresee that happening, though. Every year there’s been murmurs of the team wanting to trade Rozier, who Rozier being unhappy and it’s always been garbage. I doubt Rozier is pissed about a few minutes a game. He may be frustrated with his play, he may feel ready for a bigger role, but he’s always been a team-first guy. He’s always been for the boys and ride or die. He’s not built to bolt early and not see something out. He can get his money in free agency, he knows that. It may even benefit the Celtics to trade him, but unless it’s a steal, I don’t think they’re looking to just dump him.

Everybody relax. Scary Terry won’t be going anywhere. If I’m wrong, take solace in the fact that the return would likely make the league piss down their leg in fear of a looming Boston dynasty because it would be a fleecing.
