The Wentz report was originally created for a number of reasons…
-To track the evolution of Carson Wentz’s career
-To give an in-depth game by game look at his performance
-To compare him to other great quarterbacks
… but a major reason why I decided to start tracking every single game of Wentz’s career was to prove that he was superior to Dak Prescott.
Most sane people will now admit (especially after Monday night) that Wentz is far and away the better quarterback, but after their rookie seasons, Dak vs Wentz was a heated debate.
Of course, there is still that loud minority (trolls) that believe (or at least pretend to believe) that Dak is still the superior QB…. hence why we track it!
Head to head
Sunday will be only the third meeting between these two quarterbacks. Oddly enough, both were also on Sunday Night Football.
Match-up #Â 1- Sunday, October 30th, 2016 (week 8) in DallasÂ
Dallas 29 Eagles 23 (overtime)
Carson Wentz:
32/43, 202 yards, 1 touchdown, 0 interceptions, 91.4 rating.
Dak Prescott:
19/39 287 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 rush touchdown, 1 interception, 79.8 rating.
This was a game that the Eagles could have won. They had a 23-13 lead with 13:05 left in the game, but on first down Wendell Smallwood fumbled, giving the Cowboys the ball back.
Prescott then led a field goal drive. After an Eagles punt, he led the Cowboys into the end zone for a game tying TD, 22 yards to Dez Bryant.
The Eagles defense completely crumbled in OT, and Prescott finished the game off with a 5 yard TD to Jason Witten.
Match-up # 2: Sunday November 19th, 2017 (week 11) in DallasÂ
Eagles 37, Cowboys 9
Carson Wentz:
14/27 168 yards, 2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, 95.9 rating.
Dak Prescott:
18/31, 145 yards, 0 touchdowns, 3 interceptions, 30.4 rating.
This game was a tale of two halves.
Wentz started off hot going 5/5, leading the Eagles to a TD drive (Kenjon Barner 4 yard TD) but then struggled going 2/13 to end the half.
Prescott wasn’t much better going 10/19 with 2 INTs, but the Cowboys did have a 9-7 lead.
The second half was a completely different story.
Wentz went 7/9 for 88 yards and 2 touchdowns…

He also completed two 2-point conversions…leading the Eagles to a 30-0 second half route.
Meanwhile, Dak threw another interception and also fumbled.

Wentz vs Dak III
This will be the first time that these two go head-to-head in Philly.
With the Eagles at 4-4, the Cowboys at 3-5 and the division up for grabs, it’s the most important match-up yet.
Wentz has been unconscious since returning in week 3..

Despite respectable-ish numbers (21/31, 243 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 99.3 QB rating) Dak struggled again on Monday Night, even with the addition of Amari Cooper.
