The Red Sox Should Give Lil Wayne An MVP Award For World Series Win

You think you’re happy this morning waking up to a Red Sox World Series win? Well get in line Massholes because no one is happier than the Greatest Rapper of All Time Lil Wayne.

I would never judge anyone for their collection of favorite sports teams but despite being New Orleans representative, Lil Wayne is somehow a Packers, Lakers and Red Sox fan. I’m sure Weezy was pretty bummed when Ty Montgomery fumbled a kickoff return to seal the Packers loss to the Rams yesterday, but nothing could have prepared him for the big night ahead of him.

Side note: is this Lil Wayne and Lauren London’s son? I’m pretty sure he has never been photographed so this is kind of huge on many levels. Just a regular father and son enjoying a promethazine soda at the ballpark watching America’s favorite pastime.

2018 has been quite a year for Lil Wayne. His dispute with his rap father Birdman was finally settled for over $10 million, which also meant that Carter V was coming. Carter V was the first Weezy album released in 5 years since…that’s right 2013 when IANAHB II came out just months before the Red Sox won their last World Series title.

So while Red Sox fans are praising Steve Pearce or David Price for their playoff performances, they might want to give a special honor to Dwayne Carter Jr. the biggest Red Sawx fan of them all. Without his undying Twitter support and his album release, this duck boat parade would never be happening. Maybe Weezy and Cardi B can release a Red Sox track in time for the parade so Aaron Judge will be off the hook for ruining New York, New York.

Please make sure no one sees this photo, including Lil Wayne.
