They did it… Again.
And this time, it wasn’t even close.
Last Saturday America’s Team, the Kutztown Golden Bears returned home to Andre Reed Stadium. This wasn’t just any old game… It was homecoming.
Surrounded by the Homecoming Court, a packed student section and alumni, the #19 Golden Bears took on Lock Haven.
Well… It was a straight beatdown from the opening whistle. The game was over by halftime. Literally… The halftime score was the final score…
kubears.com “Redshirt-junior quarterback Collin DiGalbo (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) finished 13-for-20 through the air for 203 yards and one touchdown. He ran seven times for 45 yards and a score, becoming the program’s all-time leading rusher in a career by a quarterback with 918 yards on the ground.”
Our guy, running back Craig Reynolds had a light day of work. 46 yards on the ground and 1 touchdown. He now has 31 career touchdowns and soul possession of 2nd all time in Kutztown history.
It really was an all around effort. 11 different Golden Bears caught a pass. 29 different defenders had at least 1 tackle. I mean, complete and utter dismantling of Lock Haven.
QB Eric Nickel also joined the party going 9-13 for 83 yards and leading a scoring drive. The Bears put up 13 in the 1st and 28 in the 2nd before shutting it down offensively.
It is the first shutout of the season for the Bears and Coach Clements’s 100th career coaching win.
