The Irish are rollin and the Juice is loose!
Notre Dame’s speedster running back has exploded onto the national scene the last two weeks. Us Irish faithful knew how good he was, but now everyone across the country is finding out.
Dexter did not play in the first four games of this season, but has dominated since taking his first snap… Which was a 45 yard touchdown run against Stanford.
He outran EVERYONE 😱

Dexter (who’s nickname is Juice) is a senior running back from Orlando, Florida. He is 5’11, 215 lbs and he is one of the fastest backs in the country, but has been proving he’s a complete back, not just a change of pace.
Coming out of West Orange High School, Juice was the 78th player on ESPN’s Top 300. He ran for 871 yards and 10 touchdowns on 124 carries his senior season. He helped lead his team to an 11-1 record that season in 2014.
During his Freshman season at ND he ran for 81 yards, but it did include his first touchdown of his college career, a 14 yarder against UMass. His game was upped in his sophomore season, rushing for 200 yards on 39 carries and 3 TD’s. His best game was against Syracuse when he scampered for 80 yards, including a 59 yard touchdown run.
Last year the running back position was a log jam, with Josh Adams having a Heisman hopeful season. However, when Dexter touched the ball he was electric. He averaged 9.2 yards per carrier, and a total of 360 yards on 39 carries, including 4 touchdowns.
After not participating in the first 4 games this season due to a coach’s decision… He has electrified the team again. His first carry of the season was an eye popping 45 yard touchdown run against the #6 team in the country, Stanford.
Juice helped the Irish win that massive top 10 matchup 38-17 and keep their undefeated season alive. He ran for 161 yards on 21 carries, he averaged 7.7 yards per carry and added 1 rushing touchdown.
"I love the game of football, and just having that taken from me, it was a feeling I've never felt before…Making up for lost time, a lot of lost time."@DexterW_22 took his first touch 45 yards to the house and led the Irish with 21 carries for 161 yards in his season debut. pic.twitter.com/fAEzU1DOrp

Last Saturday night Juice and the #6 Irish headed into Blacksburg Virginia for a primetime matchup against a tough VT team in a hostile environment.
Dexter and the team didn’t blink.
That earlier @DexterW_22 touchdown is our second-longest touchdown from scrimmage of all time. It is also the longest rushing touchdown in Lane Stadium history, ensuring Dex is not soon forgotten in Blacksburg.#GoIrish☘️ #NDvsVT pic.twitter.com/sVjOO0JD0e

Juice put on another show with the whole country watching again. He ran for 178 yards and 3 touchdowns on 17 carries. This included an unbelievably electric 97 yard touchdown run. Williams averaged a whopping 10.5 yards per carry.
Three touchdowns and 178 rushing yards, including the longest run from scrimmage in Lane Stadium history earns you Offensive Player of the Game, @DexterW_22!#GoIrish ☘️ pic.twitter.com/vnkz59O8ME

The Irish would win 45-23, remain undefeated and move up to #5 in the nation.

Be on notice America… The Juice is loose. Dexter and the Irish are coming for what’s theirs… A spot in the college football playoff and a shot at the National Championship.
The Irish and Juice will be back home tomorrow at 2:30 to take on Pitt. I am looking forward to another huge game from Dexter and help Ian Book and the boys rollin.
Keep doin your thing Juice.
GO IRISH!
